Baobab Restaurant is renowned for the best steaks in Malindi. Cooked to perfection that are tender, mouthwatering and juicy. 

This is your go to place if you’d like to have piquant steaks and great Kenyan coffee. It is located along Seafront road, Malindi and it serves a distinctive African cuisine.

There are a wide range of delicious steaks on offer but for us, the “Steak de chef” stands out. It is pan fried to taste,served in white sauce with mushrooms and bacon cubes. There’s your choice of side dish of french fries or rice. I would also totally recommend the pepper steak. For something more adventurous, try out the Crocodile Steak. Uniquely different and very unusual.

There’s a wide variety of offers from their grill. Our personal favorites are the pork chops that come with the most heavenly sweet sauce; their tender Lamb chops or their home made fish fingers with tartar sauce. 

For a starter try out their cream of mushroom soup. It is so smooth and creamy you will float away with the taste. From their Swahili section, we recommend  the Samaki wa kupaka (fish cooked in coconut milk) it is best served with Wali wa nazi (coconut rice) which is simply out of this World.

Baobab Restaurant is the only restaurant in Malindi that has a direct view of the Vasco Da Gama monument. They are highly rated for their friendly and happy staff, and they have very affordable prices. We would recommend Baobab Restaurant for quick meals and drinks in Malindi as its service is like lightning.
